Born in Johannesburg of a South African family, 13th January 1958; Jeffrey Stevenson Lok (Family name Kai-Heun) graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (Fine Art Hons.) Johannesburg. He worked in graphic design, commercial educational book publishing, and national outcomes-based education. He moved to Cape Town in 2011, where he lives and works. He is single. His paintings and drawings are a mark of his visual biography in the South African experience.
